I tested a large number of inks, mostly Noodler's, but also some others that I like. The paper is Rhodia 80 gsm. A variety of pens were used, including a glass nib pen. Inks were allowed to thoroughly dry. The pages were scanned at 600 dpi. Then, they were placed in a pan with tap water and allowed to soak for 12 hours. Within seconds of submersion in the water bath, a photo was taken of the pages to record the behavior of the ink on initial contact with water. After 12 hours, the pages were removed and placed on paper towels to dry. They were pressed by a have book to keep them flat. Once dry, they are scanned a final time.
